About

Hi! I’m Mireya
I believe life is meant to be enjoyed. I suffer from fibromyalgia, and I have found ways to live a life where I can control my symptoms to live the life I was designed to live.
I am a chemist by profession, but I am actually a college professor at a local community college here in Virginia, my days as a chemist ended some time ago. I don’t teach chemistry by any means, but Computer Science and Cybersecurity. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2007. The progression of the symptoms advanced and it impacted my personal life in ways I could not imagine. After a very successful career in Security Engineering, I made the decision to stop working because the pain I was suffering was unbearable and stopped my ability to drive, be seated in an office for long periods of time, and have concentration and awareness of my daily tasks at work.
This major turn in my life, opened the opportunity for me, to think outside of the box, reflect and act on something different; looking for health and financial opportunities where I could manage and be productive, even while suffering from this condition. But in the process, I found out about Ayurveda, an ancient medicine from India which is believed to be 5,000 years old. I consulted with an Ayurvedic Practitioner, who educated me about how certain foods and lifestyles, could impact my fibromyalgia, and by incorporating her recommendation I should expect results. I was skeptical in the beginning, but I continue reading about it and somehow I became fascinated with all this knowledge that has existed for so long and nobody ever told me anything about it. So in 2020, I decided to enroll in a program to become an Ayurveda Practitioner, so I could reach all the women around the world and share what I implemented in my life that made a 180 degree in my overall health. So I became a student, I am learning so much and it is my goal to share everything that I am learning with you.
If you are a woman, suffering from fibromyalgia or any other chronic illness that prevents you from doing what you loved and used to do, I Have good news for You. I am here to tell you everything that I have learned since I made that decision with the new knowledge, tools, and new routines I incorporated for good, to manage my fibromyalgia, my emotional state, and my future.
